About
Govinda Pokhrel is an English teacher at Banganga Secondary School, Gajehada, Kapilvastu, where he has taught since 2020. His career in education spans more than a decade, beginning as a lecturer at Siddhartha Campus, Banganga in 2011 and continuing through teaching and leadership roles at several schools across Kapilvastu, including Sun Model English School, Maherawa Basic School, Gyanpunja Boarding School, and Siddhartha Smarak Secondary School.
Alongside classroom teaching, he trains and mentors fellow educators as an instructor for the Access Microscholarship Program and as Founder Secretary of NELTA Kapilvastu, and holds annual membership with IATEFL. He is also the co-founder of Prithvi Flower English School, Sainamaina, where he served as founding Vice Principal.
Beyond education, Govinda is a dedicated community leader — founding President of the Human Right and Peace Society, President of the Alumni Society at Siddhartha Campus, Vice-President of the Bhuwan Guru Foundation, and President of the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT), Kapilvastu. His work bridges classroom instruction, teacher development, and civic leadership in service of his community.
